In partnership with the resilient women of Munkulungwe in Zambia, we’ve embarked on a transformative journey to combat the harmful emissions of carbon dioxide.
For every £10 you spend on ZA, £2.00 is donated to the resilient women of Munkulungwe to support them travel around Munkulungwe to collect indigenous seeds, buy compost and growing bags for their saplings.
Instead of resorting to the destructive practice of charcoal burning, these women have embraced a sustainable alternative: planting and selling tree saplings. By nurturing these saplings into mature trees, they not only mitigate the impacts of carbon emissions but also create a renewable source of income for themselves and their families. Through their dedication and hard work, they’re not just planting trees—they’re sowing the seeds of a brighter future for generations to come. But our efforts don’t stop there. Alongside planting trees, the women of Munkulungwe are powerful advocates for environmental education within their communities.
They tirelessly educate others on the dangers of deforestation and the importance of preserving our precious forests. Their grassroots activism ignites a spark of awareness, empowering individuals to become stewards of the land and guardians of our planet’s future.
